The flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying pilgrims to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj this year will begin on Jul 4.
The national flag carrier will operate as many as 157 dedicated hajj flights and another 32 scheduled flights till Aus 5.
As many as 127,198 pilgrims will perform Hajj this year with Biman carrying 63,599 of them.
Biman’s return hajj flights will start on Aug 17 and continue till Sept 14.
In addition to 126 flights on Dhaka-Jeddah route, Biman will operate 10 flights on Dhaka-Medina route, 10 flights on Chattogram-Jeddah, seven flights on Chattogram-Medina, and three flights on Sylhet-Jeddah route.
“All preparation has been taken to operate the hajj flight properly,” Biman General Manager (public relation) Shakil Mejar told Bangla Tribune.
No hassle will appear if pilgrims and hajj agencies collect the air tickets on time, he added.
