Islamic Foundation has fixed this year’s Fitra, an obligatory act of charity for Muslims, at Tk 70 per head, taking into account the market prices of ata, dates and other essential items, said a press release of Islamic Foundation.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Fitra Fixing Committee of Islamic Foundation at conference room of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque on Wednesday morning.
Senior Pesh Imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, Moulana Mohammad Mizanur Rahman presided over the meeting.
Fitra can be given in cash or kind.
Members of the National Fitra Fixing Committee Dr Muhammad Abdus Salam, Mozharul Mannan, Siraj Uddin Ahmed, AKM Fazlur Rahman, Md Anisuzzaman Sikder and Maolana Muhiuddin Kasem, among others, attended the meeting.
