Home Minister flies to Myanmar today

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal (File Photo)Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal will fly to Myanmar today (October 23) on a 3-day state tour by a Bangladesh Biman Flight at 12.45 pm. 
According to the sources of Ministry of Home Affairs, after arriving Myanmar Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal will take part in a secretary-level meeting on Monday morning (October 24th) and in the afternoon he will sit in a ministerial meeting.
Public relations officer of his ministry said he will lead a twelve-member delegation including two secretaries of the Home Ministry, Directors General (DGs) of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Coast Guard, Department of Narcotics Control, Inspector General of Police (IGP) and delegates from the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

There is a possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding between Bangladesh and Myanmar regarding setting up of the border liaison office to prevent cross-border infiltration, human and drug trafficking.

Besides, the two countries will sign a memorandum of understanding to arrange dialogue regarding border security and border wall between Bangladesh and Myanmar.
