Lamiya Tanjin TanhaSufia Kamal Hall Union member elect Lamiya Tanjin Tanha is not accompanying the newly elected Dhaka University Central Students Union (DUCSU) and hall union leaders to the meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Tanha, who demands cancellation of the Mar 11 polls, says she haven’t changed her stance just because she was among the winners.

“We had boycotted the polls which were marred by large scale rigging. I stand by my decision even though I won,” Tanha told Bangla Tribune.

A total of 259 newly elected student leaders have been invited to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s official residence.

They reached Ganobhaban around 1:45 pm on Saturday (Mar 16).

The ruling party’s panel won 23 of the 25 posts in the DUCSU election, which took place after 29 years.

The top post was clinched by one of the quota movement organisers Nurul Haque Nur.
