Any decision of the student unions at Dhaka University should be taken according to the opinion of the students, demanded Dhaka University Central Student Union Vice President elect Nurul Haque Nur.
His call came on Wednesday (Mar 13) during the student protest in front of the vice chancellor’s office demanding re-election to DUCSU.
Saying that he was in solidarity with the protesters, Nur added, “Their demands for re-election under a polls committee comprised of impartial teachers must be accepted without delay.

Addressing the administration, the new VP-elect said that false cases were being filed against the students and they were being harassed and threatened.

“They had it chalked out but they couldn’t win in two posts despite the blatant vote rigging,” he added.

Nur then accompanied delegation comprising of the members of the panels who contested in the polls to the VC’s office to hand him a memorandum of their demands.
