Chhatra Dal, leftist and independent candidates have complained that polls regulations are being flouted to ensure victory for Chhatra League.

They also said that though rules are being disregarded with motorcycle brigades, the administration is silent.

Independent candidate Arani Semonti Khan said, “The Chhatra league leaders and activists are occupying the area and going around in motorcycles, asserting their presence.”

Many students complain that Chhatra League activists are entering voting lines and intimidating others.

Meanwhile, Dhaka University Chhatra League president Sanjib Chandra Das said, “I am not aware of the breach of electoral regulations.”

Independent candidate for VP, Aroni Semonti Khan, says: “Chhatra League have taken position at strategic points and are threatening others.”

Dhaka University Pro-VC Muhammad Samad said, “We are monitoring the situation and will take steps against those who break the rules.”
