If India wants to know about Bangladesh’s election and politics, Dhaka is ready to discuss about it, says Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali.
He was speaking at a press conference on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s upcoming visit to India.
When asked if Dhaka would appraise India about Bangladesh’s election and politics during the visit, the minister said, “Yes, sure, if Mr. Modi asks her [Sheikh Hasina] about it, why not?”
The minister said that India is friend of different nature to Bangladesh because the neighbour gave shelter to over 10 million people in 1971.
“We cannot forget the help and it was evident during the parliamentary session in India when the land boundary agreement was ratified,” he said.
