A Biman Bangladesh aircraft (Dash 8Q400) made an emergency landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport due to a faulty tire.

Several airport officials confirmed that flight BG-402 made the landing at 4 pm on Friday (May 1).

“The rear tire of the aircraft burst but we were prepared to avoid any accidents,” said the Dhaka airport’s Station Air Traffic Officer SM Wahidur Rahman.

“The flight landed safely,” he added.

The Dhaka bound flight left Sylhet’s Osmani International Airport around 3 pm on Friday with 61 passengers and 5 crew members.

The flight that was originally scheduled to land at 3:25 pm landed safely without any casualties.
