Anti-Corruption Commission has quizzed business tycoon AK Azad in an investigation over acquiring illegal assets.
ACC Director Mir Joynul Abedin quizzed him at ACC office between at 9:30am and 1am on Tuesday.
Emerging out of the ACC office, Azad told the media “I was summed on an allegation. I informed ACC about it. Their investigation will find the truth.”
Asked whether allegation brought against him is intentional, the businessman denied comment saying "the mater is under investigation."
AK Azad is a former president of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and is also the owner of two media outlets - Dainik Samakal and the Channel 24 television station - in Bangladesh.
Commission's Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar said, Azad was summoned twice but as he sought times, he was asked to appear before the commission Tuesday.
