The leftist Alliance comprising of Progressive Student Front and Anti-Imperialism Student Union has announced its panel of candidates for the Dhaka University Central Student's Union (DUCSU) polls, slated for Mar 11.

Socialist Students' Front’s President Imran Habib Rumon announced the names at the university campus on Monday (Feb 25).

The alliance has nominated Student Union General Secretary Liton Nandi as the Vice President and Student Federation DU President Umme Habiba Benjir as the General Secretary for the for the much-awaited election.  

Earlier on Feb 24, Chhatra League named its candidates for the DUCSU polls naming its top two leaders of Rezwanul Haque Shovon and Golam Rabbani for the VP and GS posts.

The much-awaited DUCSU polls, which have not taken place in the last 29 years, are scheduled to take place on Mar 11.
