Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rezaul Karim speaks at the Rehab Fair-2019 in Dhaka on Wednesday (Feb 6).Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rezaul Karim has ordered government officials looking after housing and real estate business to work with honesty.
“You must work with one hundred per cent integrity those who breach this will end up in jail.”
He made the comments on Wednesday (Feb 6), at the Rehab Fair-2019, organised by Real Estate and Housing Association on Bangladesh in Dhaka.
Saying that some dishonest officials ignore building construction rules, he said, “When RAJUK demolishes these buildings, many buyers face loss.”
Our electoral pledge was to ensure accommodation for citizens and so far, 270,000 plots have been handed over to buyers.
NBR Chairman Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, said, “There are many who are in real estate business without becoming a member of REHAB.”
Many have taken money but are not constructing buildings; this has to be tackled and trust of the people earned, he added.
