The government has adopted a zero tolerance to drug smugglers, says Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.
“Drug is not manufactured in our country. But, some dishonest people smuggled the country and the government has a ‘zero tolerance’ to them,” he said on Saturday (Feb 2).
Speaking at a programme, organised by a business firm at the city’s Officers’ Club, Kamal said, “Narcotics has become a major challenge toward the development of Bangladesh. So, the government will take all-out steps to eradicate drug.
The minister said, “Security and peaceful environment is necessary for sustainable development, which now exists in Bangladesh.
“The government is committed to creating such environment so that people can do business safely”, he said.
