Stringent measures will be taken against those involved with leaking question papers, said Education Minister Dipu Moni.
Her remarks came after visiting the SSC examination venue at the capital’s Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Sarkari Secondary School on Saturday (Feb 2).
“I hope the exams will be carried out peacefully across the country,” she told the media before the examination started.“Strict action will be taken if allegations of question leak arise against anyone,” she added.
The minister said that the law enforcers have tightened surveillance so that no such incidents take place.
“We want a question-leak free, cheating-free examination.”
She urged the parents and students to not get involved with question paper leaking rackets, adding that they will be arrested if sufficient proof is found.Responding to queries about there being no shuffling in the administration and education board, she said, “We will look into it.”
The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations-2019 began on Saturday (Jan 2) where a total of 21,35,333 students are appearing.
As many as 17,00,102 students are participating in the SSC examination under eight general education boards. Of the students, 8,22,661 candidates are male and 8,77,441 female.
Some 3,10,172 students taking the Dakhil examinations while 1,25,059 students are taking the SSC (vocational) examination.
