After the top court upheld bail for BNP chief Khaleda Zia in the Orphanage Trust graft case, counsels have filed the bail bond with the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court.
Syed Zainul Abedin, a member of the defence team, said that counsel Masud Ahmed Talukder has been named as the guarantor.
A court clerk, however, said that the bails bond will not be presented in front of the judge until the Appellate Division’s official order reaches them.
“The bails bond will be forwarded to the prison authorities after the court accepts it following the Appellate Division’s nod,” said Omar Faruq, a clerk at the metropolitan magistrate court.

It also ordered disposing of the matter of Khaleda’s appeal against the trial court's conviction by Jul 31.
