The government has announced a compensation of Tk 100,000 each for the families of the 13 workers killed after a coal-laden truck overturned in Cumilla.
The families of the workers killed after a coal-bearing truck overturned in Cumilla’s Chauddagram will receive Tk 100,000 each in compensation.
State Minister for Labour Monnujan Sufian announced the financial assistance for the victims’ families, BSS reported citing a statement by the ministry on Saturday (Jan 26).
It said the injured workers will receive Tk 50,000 each for medical expenses.
Thirteen people were killed on Friday after the truck overturned on a labour shed at a brick field in Cumilla’s Chouddagram Upazila. Five people are being treated at the hospital with injuries.
