Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has exonerated former minister Syed Abul Hossain from allegations of corruptions in Padma Bridge mega project.
The graft watchdog on Tuesday (Jan 22) officially cleared Hossains name from the allegations in a letter sent to the cabinet secretary.
On 2012 the World Bank raised allegations of corruption in the tender process of the mega infrastructure project.
ACC probe into the allegations were later found to be wrong.
The case, initiated by the ACC, named seven as accused including Syed Abul Hossain.
Almost six years after the charge sheet of the case was filed in 2014, ACC officially cleared the former minister’s name from the corruption allegations.
