BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed sorrow at the death of prominent lyricist, music director Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul.
Fakhrul conveyed deepest sympathy to the bereaved family, said the party chief’s media wing member Sairul Kabir Khan.
Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul, one of the most celebrated artists in the country’s music industry, was also a freedom fighter.
“He fought for the country’s independence besides leaving huge contribution in Bangla music including modern, patriotic and film songs,” he said quoting Fakhrul.
Fakhrul also prayed for salvation of the departed soul.
Bulbul, aged 63, breathed his last during early hours on Tuesday (Jan 22) at his own residence in Dhaka's Aftabnagar.
