The Election Commission is set to announce the election schedule for 50 reserved constituencies for women next week.
“The voting schedule for the reserved seats for women will be announced next week,” said EC Secretary Helaluddin Ahmed.
He added that the ruling Awami League will be allocated 43, Jatiya Party will get four Oikya Front will get one and the other parties will get two seats.
The reserved seats for women are allocated to political parties in proportion with their number of seats in parliament.
Meanwhile, leader of opposition and JP Chairman HM Ershad has already submitted a list of four candidates from his party to the speaker on Wednesday (Jan 9).
