A letter, signed by EC Joint Secretary Farhad Ahmed Khan, was sent to the district’s returning officer on Tuesday (Jan 1).
With a total of 10,574 voters, the polling centres where the voting was suspended on Sunday (Dec 30) are, Jatrapur Primary School, Bahadurpur Primary School and Sohagpur South Primary School.
Results of Brahmanbaria 2 constituency were suspended, which the EC said due to “some problems” in these polling centres.
On Dec 30, EC Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed told the media “A re-voting will be held at the three polling centres as the difference between two leading contenders fell short of the total voters at those centres.”
BNP candidate Abdus Sattar Bhuyain bagged 82,723 voters leading the race while his nearest opponent independent contender Mainuddin Main secured 72,569 votes.
