Awami League chief and incumbent Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said she is absolutely confident of winning the polls.
The premier’s remarks came in response to a query after she cast her vote at the capital’s City College polling centre a little after polls opened at 8am on Sunday (Dec 30).
“I am always confident,” said Hasina before adding, “We believe in democracy. I believe the pro-independence force will emerge victorious.”
The three-time prime minister also said that she is confident of getting people’s vote.
“Boat will win, no doubt,” she said.
