The Election Commission has allocated nearly Tk 4 billion funds for the expenses of law enforcement agencies during the 11th Parliamentary Election.
Splitting into two phases, the fund allocation for police, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Ansar-Village Defence Party and coast guard completed on Sunday (Dec 23), said EC sources.
A total of Tk 1 billion has been allocated for police while Tk 135 million for RAB, Tk 15 million for coast guard, Tk 536 million for BGB, Tk 1.64 billion for Ansar-VDP and Tk 603 million has been allocated for armed forces.
On Dec 18, the EC allocated the first phase of its fund for law enforcement.
Bangladesh will go to polls on Dec 30.
