Bangladesh Coast Guard has deployed its 40 platoons in coastal districts on election duty ahead of the 11th National Parliamentary election slated for Dec 30.
The platoons will be on polls duty from Saturday (Dec 22) to Jan 1, 2019, as per Election Commission’s order, said Coast Guard Operations Directorate's Assistant Intelligence Director Lt Commander Abdullah Al Maruf.
Eighteen platoons have been deployed as ‘strike force’ in the southern island district of Bhola while 12 platoons will be on polls duty in the Chattogram division and the remaining 10 in Khulna division.
