Ruling Awami League (AL) President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasnia has urged people from all walks of life to vote for her party for the continuation of the country’s ongoing development works.
“Paddy sheaf (of BNP) stands corruption, money laundering and embezzlement of orphans’ wealth while the ‘boat’ is for the welfare of people and development,” Hasina said while addressing a rally in the city’s Gulshan Youth Club ground on Friday (Dec 21) afternoon.
Hasina vowed to continue serving people if she comes into power once again.
“So, you (people) vote for ‘boat’ again and give us another chance to serve the people countryman and we will continue to do so,” she said.
Hasina said, “We have increased the people’s living standard and the country’s economy will grow further. Our goal is to change the fate of the people of Bangladesh (towards betterment). We didn’t come for personal gain. We run the government for the people.”
“Our aim was to keep out head high and today Bangladesh is a role model across the world. Now we set our goal on how people of Bangladesh will live healthily and we are working on it,” she said.
