Senior Awami League leader Mohammed Nasim has urged Jatiya Oiky Front leaders Dr Kamal Hossain, Kader Siddique and ASM Abdur Rab to return to pro-Liberation forces.
“It’s not late, please cut your ties with BNP and Jamaat and join the pro-Liberation forces. Why did you side with anti-liberation forces? To become lawmakers?” he asked.
Nasim, also the spokesperson of Awami League-led 14-party Alliance made the remarks on Saturday (Dec 1) while addressing a rally organized by Sammilito Muktijoddha Sangsad in the city’s Shahbagh.
“You talk about the Liberation War, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, you also took part in the war, so I call you to shun anti-Liberation element and return to pro-liberation camp,” he added.
Presided over by Sammilito Muktijoddha Sangsad convener and Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan, the rally was addressed by Workers Party President and Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon and Samyabadi Dal General Secretary Dilip Barua, among others.
