The national parade will not be held this year on Dec 16 commemorating Victory Day, says Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan.
Speaking to the media at his offices on Wednesday, he said that the decision has been taken due to the general election.
However, other programmes marking the day will be held as usual, added the minister.
“There will be no events at the National Parade Square for the Victory Day this year due to the election. The president and the prime minister will pay homage to the war heroes at the NatioanL Memorial,” said Khan.
