Oikya Front proposes 10-member non-party advisory council

The ruling Awami League-led coalition and the newly formed alliance Jatiya Oikya Front had a second round of talks at Ganobhaban on Wednesday (Nov 7). FOCUS BANGLAJatiya Oikya Front has suggested the formation of a 10-member non-party advisory council, under which the elections will be held.
Leading leader of Oikya Front, Dr Kamal Hossain, placed the demand before the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina after discussions on Wednesday (Nov 7), a source confirmed.
Other proposals of Oikya Front include: release of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, dissolution of parliament and reformation of the Election Commission.
The discussions started at the PM’s official residence at 11 am on Wednesday (Nov 7).
