AL general secretary and bridges minister, Obaidul Quader, has said: “all dialogue is being recorded and later, a summary will be related to the nation by the PM through a press conference.”

The press conference may be held on 8 or 9 November next, he added.

“There will be a second round of talks with the Oikyo Front because Dr Kamal wants to discuss a few issues; we did not send a letter but expressed vocal consent to Mostofa Mohsin Montu.”

Tomorrow, Tuesday, after the cabinet meeting, PM will sit with Islami parties at 2 pm and leftist parties in the evening.

Quader further said: “we have accepted two three demands of Oikyo Front – they wanted foreign observers and we agreed to it; the decision on this is within the jurisdiction of the EC.”

They wanted level playing field during elections and we are ready to provide that; during election, the PM and the ministers will only get security and won’t use the national flag on their car, he added.

“The PM will use the party flag only.”

Responding to a question, Quader said: “we are not feeling any pressure and gave consent to the dialogue to fulfil the desire of the masses.”

On the question, if Khaleda Zia will be able to take part in the polls or not, Quader said: “please ask this question to the chief justice; the judiciary will take decision on this matter.”
