Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has urged the Alem-Ulema of the country not to believe the propaganda on social media.
"We’ve enacted the Cybercrime Act, if anyone spreads false propaganda that person's trial will be booked at once and put on trial under the law of the land," she said on Sunday (Nov 4).
The Prime Minister was addressing the Sukrana Mahfil (Thanksgiving rally) for recognizing Dawrae Hadith (Takmil) Certificate in Qawmi Madrasah with the status of postgraduate degrees of Islamic Studies and Arabic at historic Suhrawardy Udyan organised by Alem and Ulemas of Qawmi Madrasah under Al-Haiyatul Ulia Lil-Jamiatil Qawmia on Sunday (Nov 4).
Hasina said she and her party always follow the path of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
"If anyone says anything against our Prophet his/her trial will be done as per laws of the land, we won’t take laws in our own hands…the law will take its own course. We’ll give them [propagators] appropriate lessons so that they cannot spread such propaganda in the future," new agency UNB quoted Hasina.
The essence of Islam is peace, brotherhood, cordiality and the spirit of non-communalism, Hasina said adding: "We all will walk taking the lessons what our Prophet taught us."
Hasina said the world has been created by the Allah, not a single leaf of a tree moves without the permission of Allah. "Everything good-bad has been created by Allah, our trust and confidence have to be always in Him."
She said all have to think about the welfare, development and good for people shunning the thinking of hatred, enmity and bad for others.
Talking about the ongoing enmity and killing among the Muslims across the world, Sheikh Hasina said the arms producers and sellers are gainers from these killings among the Muslims.
Sheikh Hasina reiterated her firm stance against terrorism, militancy, drugs and corruption on Bangladesh soil.
For a handful of people Islam cannot be stigmatized, she said adding, "The terrorists have no religion, country and society, they’re just terrorists and militants. When a person believes in Islam properly must not become terrorists and militants."
The Prime Minister said the government does not want the prevailing peaceful situation of the country to fade away. "If peace prevails in the country, it’ll achieve prosperity. If the country develops, everyone will be benefitted," she said.
She sought blessings of the Alem-Ulema as the next general election is getting closer.
Later, Allama Shafi conducted a munajat where he sought blessings for the country and its people.
