Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) commissioner, Asaduzzaman Mia, has said that any malicious attempt to unleash anarchy will be thwarted.
“There is no scope for causing anarchy over the verdict, set to be announced today,” the DMP chief told media in front of the old jailhouse at the capital’s Nazimuddin road, where the Swift Trial Tribunal has been set up.
Everyone is in the grips of anxiety over the verdict, he said before adding that court’s judgment is a natural process for any and all cases.
“Let me be clear, strict measures will be taken against anyone’s attempt to hinder a legal process.” The police chief warned.
Addressing the city dwellers, Mia said: “go about your business; ensuring your security is our responsibility.”
