President M Abdul Hamid has urged everyone to work together to continue the ongoing development of the country.
Emphasising of holding on to the current development trend, the President said, “There is no alternative to work jointly for the sake of taking the development even further.”
The president, on a three-day visit to his home district Kishoreganj, made the remarks on Monday while exchanging views with a cross-section of people including political leaders, freedom fighters, professionals, government officials and women leaders, BSS reports.
The head of the state asked the government officials to work with utmost honesty and sincerity so that all projects financed by the public money can implement in proper manner.
He underscored the need for playing active and positive role to make development activities a success.
Talking to the freedom fighters, Abdul Hamid, also an organizer of the 1971 Liberation War, mentioned that the incumbent government continued to provide all necessary support for the welfare of the heroes of the sacred soil.
The nation will recall the contribution of the brave sons of the nation for their contribution to achieving Independence and sovereignty.
Noting that women are very important part of the total population, the President said, “The development will not continue if the active participation of the women folk is not ensured.”
President Hamid also urged all to extend their hands of cooperation to materialize the “Digital Bangladesh” concept of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
