Former president of Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU) and special correspondent of Daily Bhorer Dak, Mostak Hossain, has died.
“Mostak Hossain breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases in Dhaka at 10.55am, Monday. He was suffering from Kidney ailments and was admitted to the hospital’s CCU unit last Friday (Aug 31),” said DRU president Saiful Islam Khan to Bangla Tribune.
“His namaz-e-janaza will be held at the DRU premises on Monday,” he added.
Later, his body will be taken to the National Press Club premises, where his second namaz-e-janaza will be held.
Mostak Hossain will be buried in Dhaka. Meanwhile, prime-minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock over Journalist Mostak Hossain’s death.
He was also the member of the National Press club and Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ).
