Medical expenses for journalists, injured during students’ road-safety protest, will come from Journalist Welfare Trust fund, said State Minister of Information Tarana Halim.
She said, a letter will be issued in this regard on Tuesday before adding, welfare fund will cover treatments in State-owned Hospitals only.
A 24/7 monitoring cell is being formed under the information ministry in a bid to prevent spreading provocative comments using the social media platforms, she added.
