For Arshd Pappu, this Eid brings the chance to fly home – not in an airplane, but in a chopper!
Thanks to the special privilege offered by ride sharing facility, Pathao. Called Uthao, meaning lift in English, this offer has been won by three persons with Pappu being one of them.
Accounts Officer of Meghna group of Industries, Pappu, will now be flown to his village home on Friday (June 15).
The other two winners will also have the same opportunity to go to their native homes via helicopter.
Pappu, along with Abu Bakkar Siddique and Nur Uddin Tahsin, was selected out of 25,000 participants who availed Pathao ride at least 10 times between the first and tenth Ramadan.
Their names were declared at a programme at the Pathao office on Sunday.
It’s Chief Executive Officer, Hossian Md Ilyus, said: “they launched the app to provide easy transport for the common people.”
They are going to start another campaign to popularise the use of helmets, he said and added: “we plan distribute several thousand helmets among riders.”
