During the 2014 World Cup, a Bengali song on Argentine football star, Lionel Messi, was launched when The Netherlands faced Argentina at the semi-finals; the song was two minutes in length.
A full video song could not be released then due to the shortage of time. This year, before the crucial group stage Argentina-Nigeria match, the full Messi Bangla song has been released by CD Choice.
The song written by Tareq Ananda, arranged by Rezwan Sheikh and sung by three participants of power voice competition, Sajal, Cornia and Masum.
“I am a fan of Argentina,” said Sajal and, added: “Therefore, it was a challenge to compose the song.”
Since the whole team worked on it, listeners will not be disheartened.
“This will appeal not only to fans of Messi but also to those who love the game,” enthused singer Cornia and expressed her delight at the release of the full-fledged song with video.
