Kit Harington and Rose Leslie may not share the Game of Thrones screen together anymore (RIP Ygritte), but the couple still has plenty of fond memories of their onscreen relationship. Including, the scene where Rose’s character died a bloody death!



In a recent interview with People, Kit revealed that one of his all-time favorite Game of Thrones moments was the scene in which Ygritte dies in Jon Snow's arms.

“I liked her death. I know, it sounds bizarre,” Kit explained. “I thought she nailed that. And it’s the first time in Thrones that slow motion was used and I think it’s a beautiful, cradling moment as this battle is raging in the background. It was one of those incredible shots.” To be fair, it was a pretty dramatic scene, and one that's hard to forget.
Beyond holding a dying Ygritte, it seems as though Kit has plenty of other happy memories of acting alongside Rose, and the actor even described his wife as the person he enjoyed working with most on set. “There was something really special about working with Rose,” Kit said in an April 2019 HBO interview. “She is one of the best actors I've worked with, one of the most instinctual, and we really had a great chemistry together, I think.”

Clearly, that chemistry transcended to the real world. While things might have come to a bloody end for Jon and Ygritte, Kit and Rose tied the knot in June 2018 with an elegant Scotland wedding, surrounded by their Game of Thrones family.
