After a year-long battle with the neuroendocrine tumour, Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan confirmed his recovery.

He expressed his gratitude towards his fans for standing by him during his health issues on Wednesday (Apr 3), reports IANS.

The ‘Life of Pie’ actor had returned to India post his treatment in London last month. He was spotted at the Mumbai airport on Tuesday after a long absence owing to his health.

The 'Doob' actor first spoke of his health in March 2018, when he revealed that he was suffering from a "rare disease" but was yet to get a conclusive diagnosis.

He later revealed he was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour, a rare form of cancer that can target various parts of the body.
