Four people have been killed and four others injured after a bus crashed into a battery-run auto-rickshaw in Mymensingh.
The incident was reported from Haluaghat’s Dhara Bazar area on Friday (Feb 21), Haluaghat police OC Biplob Kumar confirmed.
Police have identified the deceased as Ariful Islam, 25, Sajib Ahmed, 34, Sakib, 45 and Mizanur Rahman, 32.
According to OC Kumar Ariful and Sajib died on spot after a Dhaka-bound Imam Transport bus crashed into the battery-run auto-rickshaw at around 5:30 pm.
He added that six people were taken to Haluaghat Health Complex where Sakib and Mizan succumbed to their injuries.
He said that the bus has been seized but the driver fled and the bodies have been kept at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
