The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has reportedly gunned down a Bangladesh citizen along Mominpara border in Panchagarh Sadar upazila.
The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Hasan Ali, a resident of Khalpara of Sadar upazila.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) 56 Battalion Commanding Officer (CO) Lt Col Md Mamunul Haq confirmed the matter to Bangla Tribune on Tuesday (Jan 21).
Locals spotted the bullet-hit body of Hasan lying nearby the demarcation pillar number 752 of Bangladesh-India border area on early Tuesday.
A BGB team has been dispatched to the scene soon after the incident was reported, added Lt Col Md Mamunul Haq.
