The tyre of a Novoair Airlines flight has blown after landing at Shah Makhdum Airport in Rajshahi.
The incident took place around 9:45am on Sunday (Nov 17) after taking off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 9am.
There were 33 passengers onboard at the time. However, no injuries were reported.
A technician team was dispatched from Dhaka to fix the plane, said airport official Dilara Begum.
She said: “A tyre on the plane’s left side blew off during the landing. All the passengers on-board were safely brought down from the plane later.”
Speaking of the ordeal, some of the passengers said they were panicked.
Novoair Senior Manager Mafuzul Alam said: “After the aircraft landed on the runway, one of its tyres at the rear got punctured when the plane reached the end of the runway.”
“The passengers are all safe. This flight was supposed to carry 68 passengers back to Dhaka. But another plane from Dhaka went to Rajshahi and brought them back,” he added.
