Two BGB members shot in Bandarban

BandarbanTwo members of the Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) have been reportedly shot by smugglers at the Ghumdhum border area in Bandarban's Naikhongchhari upazila.
The incident took place around 9pm on Monday (Nov 11).
The injured, Sipahi Mrittunjoy, 23, and Farid Uddin, 24, have been taken to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Cox's Bazar.
Cox’s Bazar BGB Commander Sajedur Rahman said, “Two of our members have been shot by drug peddlers at Thoyangapara area.”
“Later, police and BGB members rescued them and admitted to the hospital,” added Rahman.
