Government has funded homes for 35 poor families on their own land at Gopalganj’s Kashiyani Upazilla.


The 35 homes were built under the Disaster Resistant House Building project of current fiscal year and handed over to the landowners last week.
Each of the family now owns a strong roof with bathroom, kitchen and balcony and two bedrooms.
Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner Shahida Sultana said, “193 families across the district were served with disaster resistant houses including these families of Kashiyani Upazilla.”
She added that landowners, who do not have houses, were given financial support from government and more families will get own houses in the near future.
