Road crashes kill 6 in 5 districts

At least 6 people were killed in separate road accidents in Noakhali, Jessore, Kushtia, Pabna, and Satkhira on Monday and Tuesday.
In Pabna, a college teacher was killed in a collision between a CNG, and a microbus on Tuesday.
The incident took place near Sobujpara area in Chatmohor Upazila.
The deceased, Chameli Rani, 52, who taught at Chaikola Degree College, hailed from Chatmohor Bazar.
Sheikh Nasiruddin, OC of Chatmohor police station, said that Chameli was hit by a speeding microbus while she was returning home.
In Kushtia, two motorcyclists were killed, and one injured after their motorcycle lost control, and fell into a pond.
The accident took place near Sonaidanga village in Khoksha Upazila around 11pm on Monday.
The deceased, Zia, 40 is the son of Samsuddin from Kallanpur village, and Hasan, 30 is the son of Keramat Sardar from Majhgram village of Kumarkhali upazila.
ABM Mehedi Masud, OC of Khoksa police station confirmed the matter.
In Satkhira, an elderly person was killed after he was hit by a bus near Gazirhat area in Debhata upazila.
The deceased, Mostafa Dhali, 70 is the son of late Murari Dhali from Paikpara village under Debhata upazila.
Biplob Kumar Shaha,the OC of the Debhata police station said that Mostafa died on the spot when he was hit by a bus in Gazirhat area on the Shatkhira Kaliganj road.
In Noakhali, a youth was killed when a bus ran over him in Companiganj upazila on Tuesday.
The deceased, Abdur Rahim, 24, is the son of Abu Bakar Siddique from Sulkobriddi village of Kabirhat upazila
Md Arifur Rahman, OC of Companiganj police station confirmed the matter saying Rahim was hit by a bus near Koralia area under Basurhat Municipality and died on the spot.
In Jessore, a seventh-grader was killed on Tuesday when he was hit by a truck.
The accident took place in front of the Agriculture Research Center on the Jessore-Jhenaidah road.
The deceased, Mohidul Islam Leon, 13, is the son of Mahbubur Rahman from the city's Arabpur powerhouse para.
Monirul Islam, SI of Kotwali police station of Jessore, said “Leon was hit by a speeding bus near Agriculture Research Center, Leon died on the spot.
