Five police members in Rangpur have been withdrawn for the negligence of duty over the death of an elderly man at the Bhenda Bari police outpost in Pirganj upazila.
The withdrawn police members are-- Behnda Bari police outpost in-charge Aminul Islam, Assistant Deputy Inspector (ASI) Shah Alam, ASI Harikant Barman, ASI Tajuddin and Constable Ariful Islam.
The police officials have been attached to Rangpur Police Lines after being withdrawn at 3pm on Wednesday (Oct 16).
