Road crashes kill four in Sirajganj, Dinajpur

In Sirajganj, two people were killed when a bus ran over a motorbike on Bogura-Nagarbari highway in the district's Raiganj upazila on Monday evening, reports our correspondent.
The deceased have been identified as Mithun Das, 27, from Simabari area of Bogura's Sherpur Upazila, and Sayedur Rahman, 35, from Nadipara area of Sherpur Upazila.
The accident took place when a Dhaka-bound bus of MK Paribahan hit a motorbike, coming from the opposite direction, in Khamarbari area of Raiganj Upazila leaving Mithun dead on the spot and Saidul severely injured, said Akter Hossain, OC of Hatikumrul highway police.
Saidul was rushed to the Bogura medical college hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
Police seized the bus while its driver and his assistant escaped, he added.
In Dinajpur's two people were killed as a microbus hit a motorbike in the district's Chiribandar upazila on Monday evening, reports our correspondent.
The deceased have been identified as Shahriar Sabbir, 17, and Ashadul Islam, 16. they hailed from the upazila's Rashdnag village.
Chirirbandar police OC Haresul Islam said that a Saidpur-bound microbus hit the motorbike at the upazila's Bekipul Bazar around 6pm killing Shahriar on the spot and injured Ashadul critically.
Ashadul was admitted to the local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, the OC added.
A case was filed in this regard.
