He made the remarks at his house while talking to the media after the Eid-ul-Azha prayers at Boro Rajapur village in Companiganj upazila of Noakhali, which is also his constituency, on Monday (Aug 12).

Quader, also the Awami League general secretary, said that strong currents in the rivers, rains, additional pressure on the roads created by cattle-laden vehicles had been responsible for passenger sufferings before the Eid.

Stating that there was tailback only on the Dhaka-Tangail highway, he said that people had gone home in much comfort on the last day before Eid.

Earlier, he exchanged Eid greetings with the people and party activists in his constituency and expressed his gratitude to them for praying for him during his illness.
