RaifaA probe committee has found that doctors and nurses neglected their duties while giving medical treatment to Raifa, the daughter of Dainik Samokal Chattogram Bureau Senior Correspondent Rubel Khan.
The committee handed over its report to Bangladesh Medical Association and journalist association on Thursday and later it was revealed by the journalist union at Chattogram Press Club on Friday.
Raifa, a 3-year-old girl, was admitted to the hospital on Jun 28 at the Max Hospital with cold and throat ache and passed away the next day.
Police detained a doctor and a nurse after the child passed away but later released them.
The report said, “Child Specialist Bidhan Chandra Roy did not examine his patient properly. The allegation of parents is found to be true that Dr Debashis Sen Gupta and Dr Shuvra Dev did not attend the patient.”
It recommended taking four-point action against the three doctors for the negligence.
