Three people were killed and 10 injured in two separate road accidents at Narshingdi.
The incidents were reported from the district’s Shibpur upazila and Madhabdi area on Wednesday (Jun 5).
According to Madhabdi police OC Abu Taher Dewan, the head-on collission between two buses, Barhmanbaria-bound Tisha Poribahan and Gausia-bound Rogndhonu Poribahan left two dead.
One of the decased, identified as Mamun hailed from Brahmanbaria’s Ashuganj.
Another passenger Abdur Razzaq who was from Rangpur was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Seven passengers were injured in this accident.
Meanwhile, a micro-bus passenger was killed on spot when Sylhet-bound Shyamoli Poribahan rammed into the microbus at the highway at Shibpur upazila.
Three people were injured in this accident but the deceased has not yet been identified, said Shibpur’s Itkhola Highway police in-charge Hafizur Rahman.
