His startling resemblance with the nation’s founding father has made Gopalganj’s Aruk Munshi a local celebrity.
Munshi, a heartfelt devotee of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, now has to attend crowds whenever he is at his home at the Kamarol Village in the district’s Kashiani Upazila.
Locals thronged to take pictures with whenever he goes around in his hometown.
“To be honest, it’s not embarrassing at all, it feels good. I consider myself as a devotee of Bangabandhu,” says Munshi, who works for a Dhaka-based private firm.
“At a first glance, he is a living reflect of Bangabandhu. I was taken aback the first time,” sau local Kashiani Upazila Chairman Mashiur Rahman Khan.
