27 Rohingyas rescued from Teknaf while fleeing to Malaysia

BGB have rescued 27 Rohingyas who were trying to flee to Malaysia from Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday (Apr 3)Members of Border Guard Bangladesh have rescued 27 Rohingyas who were trying to flee to Malaysia from Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday (Apr 3).
Acting on a tip-off ,BGB members conducted two drives on the early hours of Wednesday to rescue the 27 Rohingyas from Khurmukh area of the Naf river and Moheshkhaliapara area in Teknaf.
Of the 27 Rohingyas, one male, seven women and six children were rescued from the Khurermukh area along the Naf river and two men, nine woman and two children from the Moheshkhaliapara area.
Confirming the matter, Sarkar Mohammad Mustafizur Rahman, captain of Teknaf's BGB-2 said, after primary interrogation the rescued Rohingyas said that they were trying to flee from the Ukhiya and Teknaf Rohingya camps.
No one has been arrested in the incident. The rescued Rohingyas have been sent back to their camps, he added.
