The Election Commission has suspended the election of Titas Upazila of Cumilla on allegation of irregularities and clash.
Voting was suspended nearly a half an hour before polls ended in the fourth phase of Upazila council elections at 4pm on Sunday (Mar 31).
“The EC suspended voting on allegations of clash among the chairman candidates’ supporters, stuffing and snatching ballot and creating unruly situation at polling stations,” Returning Officer and Additional District Commissioner Kaizer Mohammad Farabi told Bangla Tribune.
